What’s the Pomi-T Study, And Why we included the ingredients?
When it comes to natural ways to support prostate health, it can be hard to know what’s backed by real science — and what’s just marketing. That’s why a clinical study known as the Pomi-T trial caught our attention.
This wasn’t your average supplement hype story. It was an actual, peer-reviewed study, published in a respected medical journal (Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases, part of the Nature group), and it focused on something many men are deeply concerned about: rising PSA levels.
Let’s break it down.
The Study in a Nutshell
The Pomi-T study (short for Polyphenol Intervention Trial) was run through the UK National Cancer Research Network, meaning it was publicly backed and independently conducted — no supplement company involved.
Researchers looked at 199 men with prostate cancer who were either on active surveillance (watchful waiting) or had previously been treated and were just monitoring their PSA. The big question? Could a mix of natural plant-based ingredients slow the rise in PSA — a marker often used to track prostate cancer progression?
What Did They Take?
Each day, participants took a simple capsule made from four food-based ingredients:
- Pomegranate
- Green Tea Extract
- Broccoli
- Turmeric (Curcumin)
These weren’t mega-doses or isolated lab-made compounds — just concentrated forms of foods rich in polyphenols and natural antioxidants.
What Happened?
After 6 months, the results were pretty striking:
- In the placebo group, PSA levels rose by 78.5%
- In the supplement group, PSA only rose by 14.7%
That’s a 63% slower PSA progression — which is hard to ignore. Even better, more men in the placebo group ended up needing further treatment compared to those on the supplement.
And just as important: no serious side effects were reported.
So What Does It Mean?
This doesn’t mean these four foods cure prostate cancer — but it does suggest they may play a helpful role in slowing progression, especially when used alongside regular medical care.
What makes this study so refreshing is how simple and natural the approach is. No complicated drugs. Just targeted, food-based support — something we can all get behind.
The Bottom Line
The Pomi-T study found that a simple blend of pomegranate, green tea, broccoli, and turmeric may help men support prostate health in a real, measurable way. For men over 40 — or anyone keeping an eye on their PSA — it's a combination worth knowing about.
